So true. Painful but beautiful movie.
The Wind that Shakes the Barley is streaming on Netflix. This is one of the finest acted war dramas I’ve seen. It’s also a war drama without voice over or hyper style. No overwrought music or slow motion. Lots of complicated emotional pain and realism. Importantly: Cillian Murphy, who you can never tell is acting.
